Mr. Peltz joined the Inorganic Materials Group in 2004. Since then, he has specialized in working on particle surface and size analysis of cements and other materials. He is part of the development of the new SRM for cement. Prior to joining the Inorganic Materials Group, he worked in the Structures Group of the Materials and Construction Research Division for 14 years. During his time, he worked on projects dealing with building construction in seismic zones. Projects included beam column joints, fiber reinforced walls, partially grout filled block walls, and clay tile walls. Mr. Peltz was twice detailed to serve as a Selection Evaluation Board Administrator with the Advanced Technology Program. He served as Administrator on the Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Information Technology Boards. Before coming to the Structures Division in 1990, Mr. Peltz was a Technician with the Automated Manufacturing Research Facility at NIST, where he worked in the material handling area with robotic carts and an automated storage and retrieval system. |
