			Mrs. Perry started her Federal service in 1975 at NIST working as a clerk typist in the former Center for Building Technology. During her career, she advanced into the administrative support field through experience and with formal education and became Administrative Officer in 1985. She performed administrative functions for the Center and later for divisions in the Building and Fire Research Laboratory. In 1997, Mrs. Perry was promoted to Senior Management Advisor of the Laboratory. She is responsible for the implementation and execution of the day-to-day administrative and financial operations and serves as adviser to top managers and to the staff of BFRL. She represents the Laboratory as principal contributor to NIST-wide operation policies and practices such as budget, accounting, human resources, procurement and facility issues.
